About the job

We are looking for a Legal Coordinator to join our team and support our operations across Hispanic America.


In this role, you will act as a key partner to the business, providing legal and commercial support, coordinating contract reviews, identifying potential risks and ensuring alignment with internal policies and compliance standards.


You will work closely with different business functions, internal stakeholders and external legal advisors, contributing to the continuous improvement of legal processes and supporting business decisions across the region.

Key responsibilities
  • Review, coordinate and support the negotiation of commercial contracts, ensuring alignment with Alfa Laval’s policies, terms and conditions.
  • Identify and assess potential legal, commercial and compliance risks, recommending appropriate actions and escalating matters when necessary.
  • Support the implementation and monitoring of compliance requirements, including export control and data protection regulations (GDPR).
  • Review and map existing commercial contracts and purchase orders to identify gaps, risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external legal advisors to address legal matters and support business operations.
  • Develop and implement improvements to legal procedures, contract templates and internal guidelines.
  • Provide guidance and training to business teams on contractual matters, corporate policies and compliance requirements.
  • Monitor relevant regulatory developments and contribute to initiatives that strengthen legal risk management across the region.

What you know
  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in legal, contractual or commercial compliance-related functions.
  • Previous experience working in a multinational environment.
  • Understanding of commercial contracts, contractual risk management and corporate compliance.
  • Knowledge of export control regulations and data protection requirements is an advantage.
  • Intermediate level of English.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and sound judgment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and countries.
  • Proactive mindset, adaptability and a continuous improvement approach.
