As the legal team, we support all areas of Fever by offering scalable legal support – clear advice, risk management, and legal insight – that allow teams to move quickly and stay focused on what matters.

The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a candidate with a strong background in team leadership and knowledge management to join the Fever Legal GRC & Policy Team, here in Madrid, to manage our tech-enabled legal operations function. We’re looking for applicants who are interested in shaping the future of Legal Operations at Fever, to remain cornerstone for sophisticated, value-driven and quick dealmaking at scale, and for effective and savvy risk management and seamless integration with company-wide tools and processes.
As a Legal Operations Manager, you will be a strategic leader responsible for driving the underpinning knowledge management for efficient, consistent, tech-scaled legal work, and championing operational excellence across the function aligning department-wide operations with broader business objectives. This role sets the strategic priorities of our Legal Operations function, oversees the range of functions performed by the Legal Operations team, and involves the day-to-day management of team members.
What You’ll DoIn the first 60 days you will:
- Meet the Legal Operations professionals who report directly or indirectly to the manager to establish working relationships and understand individual’s roles, strengths, and objectives
- Understand current operational touchpoints, hand in hand with the Legal Operations team members and key stakeholders (including the Legal teams and Risk functions, as well as with relevant business functions)
- Gain a thorough understanding of the existing legal technology stack, knowledge management systems, and current workflows, through both individual inquiry and participation in the existing initiatives and processes related to them
- Build communication forums and practices with other individuals involved in designing, developing and/or in delivering operational solutions for the department, including AI Enablement, Business Operations, Privacy Operations, and beyond
- Familiarize yourself with Fever’s global businesses and footprint, the legal landscape, corporate policies, and strategic business objectives
- Review the current Legal function’s spending processes, and vendor relationships, creating systems to improve tracking, global law firm and related vendor (notarial, etc) management and billing practices
In the first 180 days you will:
- Define objectives and KPIs for the Legal Operations team and establish a framework for tracking and reporting on operational metrics
- Refine knowledge management structures and documentation standards to support efficient and consistent legal service delivery
- Gain a thorough understanding of the existing workflows, knowledge and technology of the functions that legal and risk teams serve across the company, including Finance, Business Development, Media, Corporate Development and others
- Become an active contributor to one or more ongoing initiatives in the implementation of tech-enabled processes across the department
- Initiate a high-impact, quick-win project (e.g., streamlining a key administrative process or piloting a feature of an existing tech tool), building momentum and a practical understanding of change management
- Become familiarized with the knowledge management, technology stack and current workflows of risk functions (Safety & Security, Insurance, etc)
And beyond:
- Be a strategic leader of the Legal Operations function, evolving the strategic roadmap to drive sustained operational excellence at a global scale.
- Oversee and enhance critical functional areas, including knowledge management, case support and documentation systems, and administrative functions within the team.
- Evaluate, implement, and champion the adoption of emerging legal technologies, including AI and automation tools, to elevate the quality, speed, and scalability of the legal function.
- Create and monitor department budgets, track spending, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Manage a team of paralegals and legal operations staff, including empowering and mentoring coordinators within the team, conducting performance reviews, and driving their professional development.
- Serve as a key liaison between the legal department and other business functions, acting with executive presence to influence stakeholders and ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Have 3+ years of experience in innovation, knowledge management or tech implementation, including proven people management experience (bonus points for experience working with international teams and projects)..
- Have prior experience as a lawyer, either in-house or in law firms, preferably through several legal fields, or can demonstrate a good understanding of the complexities related to the operational needs of disparate fields of legal work.
- Are capable of learning through a self-motivated pursuit of the right questions, information and answers to acquire new skills as evolving environments require.
- Demonstrate expertise in at least three of these areas: knowledge management, AI implementation, legal technology tools, process improvement, and operational management.
- Have strong leadership and mentoring skills, strategic vision, and excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including cultural awareness, and empathy, along with the executive presence necessary to interact confidently with senior leadership.
- Are professionally fluent in English (any other language can be a plus but is not required).
