The Role
The Legal Intern supports the Legal Department by organizing documents, gathering evidence, transcribing proceedings, scheduling appointments, and ensuring compliance with confidentiality requirements.

You will be responsible for providing administrative support to our Legal Department by ensuring precision in work; respect strict confidentiality requirements; organize, classify, and categorize paperwork associated with cases. You will also be responsible for typing and corresponding paperwork, transcribing court proceedings and other recorded meetings. 

 

 


Key Responsibilities:
  • Organize and maintain documents in a paper or electronic filing systems.
  • Gather and arrange evidence and other legal documents for attorney review and case preparation.
  • Produces information by transcribing, formatting, inputting, editing, retrieving, copying, and transmitting text, data, and graphics; coordinating case preparation.
  • File and collect documents from the court houses as needed.
  • Schedule appointments with clients.
  • Prepare files for service and for mailing.
  • Coordinate process servers to ensure service is completed on schedule.


Requirements
  • Current student or recent graduate - legal / paralegal studies 
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Organization skills to work independently and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment 
  • Efficient time management skills
