Job Description:
In preparation for a potential global Aesthetics launch, we are creating a strategic leadership role within our Global Legal Assets & Brands team.
As Legal Director, Assets & Brand – Aesthetics, you will act as the lead legal partner supporting Ipsen’s neuroscience aesthetics portfolio across its full lifecycle—from R&D through commercialization. You will provide high-impact legal guidance on complex, global matters while remaining hands-on in delivering day-to-day support to business stakeholders.
This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping a growing portfolio within a dynamic, international environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary legal partner for Ipsen’s global neuroscience aesthetics activities
- Provide strategic legal advice to R&D, Medical, and Commercial teams
- Lead legal support for global projects, partnerships, and strategic alliances
- Serve as Legal Asset Lead for neuroscience aesthetic products
- Support corporate transactions (acquisitions, licensing, asset deals), including due diligence and integration
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of agreements, including:
- Clinical and research agreements
- Manufacturing and supply agreements
- Licensing and collaboration contracts
- Commercial and market access agreements
- Ensure compliance with
- Manage legal risks while enabling business opportunities
- Advise on contract lifecycle issues, disputes, and litigation where required
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Legal, Compliance, IP, Regulatory, and other business teams
- Manage external counsel and contribute to legal operations and process improvement
- Lead, coach, and develop team members where applicable
Your Profile
- Qualified lawyer with 8+ years’ post-qualification experience
- Strong background in commercial and contract law within the life sciences sector
- Experience in aesthetics (mandatory), pharmaceuticals, or healthcare
- Proven track record in complex transactions, partnerships, and global projects
- Solid knowledge of:
- Pharmaceutical regulatory frameworks
- Competition law, anti-bribery, and data privacy
- Experience across multiple geographies and jurisdictions
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proven ability to work in cross-functional and international environments
- Results-driven, adaptable, and solutions-oriented
- Fluent English required
- French is a plus
