The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Legal Data Privacy Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Reviewing current GSC processes and controls to inform, advise and issue recommendations to the management with regards to data protection, privacy and compliance, including compliance with data protection laws (incl. GDPR and HIPAA) and internal policies and guidelines (incl: PIA process, safeguard measures, risk mitigation processes, record retention), considering both formal processes set up and technical solutions

  • Proactive monitoring of regulatory requirements and upcoming changes; recommendations of internal organizational changes to sustain regulatory compliance; implementation coordination

  • Mapping risks related to data privacy, coordinating risk management actions and reporting to Management

  • Being Primary coordinator in case of inspections, dawn raids and audits

  • Managing internal data privacy compliance controls, incl. internal data privacy audits and checks, according to relevant regulatory and internal requirements

  • Providing local support and coordination of the PIA process inputs; cooperation with regional/corporate DPO and OGC

  • Assisting with security access management for defined systems; admin and approver roles in relevant systems and processes

  • Creating and managing data privacy policies, guidelines, and training materials

  • Managing relevant data privacy documentation, metrics, repositories (Policy Central, PLM, SharePoint)

  • Knowledge sharing, incl. trainings and onboarding; defining knowledge requirements for teams in GSC; training materials preparation and updates

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited university in a relevant field (e.g. Law, Administration)

  • 3+ years of experience in data privacy field or equivalent legal practice

  • Experience and expertise in national and transnational data privacy laws (incl. GDPR and HIPAA), knowledge of other relevant requirements, standards and market practices

  • Fluent English

  • Comfortable usage of Excel, PPT, Microsoft package

In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:

  • Familiarity with data privacy and information security risk assessment, gap assessment, certifications, seals and best practices

  • Experience in inspections and audits coordination

  • Understanding of data processing, incl. data use, business applications, process cross-overs between legal, security and IT requirements

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Experience with data breach reporting process, managing data privacy incidents, corrective and preventive actions and risk mitigation strategies;

  • Experience in organizational documentation management and repositories handling; ability to review and create required documentation and implement necessary assurance and control plans;

  • (Plus) Familiarity with privacy impact assessment or equivalent process and software;

  • (Plus) Experience in organizational awareness building activities and promoting compliance and data protection culture;

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, incl. communication with top management, ability to run meetings and trainings sessions, working in project teams as well as individually.

Work location: Hybrid Eligible

Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/international
