Job Specification:

Contract Negotiation & Review

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including service agreements, non-disclosure agreements, investment documentation, and vendor contracts.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and external counterparties to facilitate contract execution and ensure alignment with company policies and risk frameworks.
  • Maintain and update contract templates and policy and procedure documents.

Legal Research & Advisory Support

  • Conduct legal research on regulatory, corporate, and commercial matters relevant to Apex’s services in multiple jurisdictions.
  • Prepare concise legal reviews and summaries to support operational decision making.
  • Monitor legal and regulatory developments affecting the financial services and investment fund sectors.

Project-Based Legal Support

  • Assist in the legal aspects of business and regulatory projects, new product launches, and corporate restructurings.
  • Coordinate with external counsel where required and assist in managing external legal spend.

Governance & Compliance

  • Support company secretarial and governance functions, including assisting with the preparation of board documentation.
  • Assist in ensuring internal compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.

Qualifications & Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s of Laws (LLB) degree or equivalent;
  • Admission to the Law Society of Ireland or another common law jurisdiction; 
  • PQE: NQ – 3 years.

Skills Required:

  • Excellent drafting and negotiating of commercial contracts;
  • Experience in investment funds and/or corporate services industry is preferred; 
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail;
  • Proactive and collaborative approach to working with colleagues and problem solving; 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • An ability to work with a variety of teams and stakeholders across different jurisdictions;
  • Proficient with MS office tools.
