Legal Counsel
Cadence is looking for a business-oriented attorney to join our inhouse team! The ideal candidate will possess 1-3 years of legal experience, and have an interest in technology. In addition, candidates should have a JD from an ABA accredited law school and qualified to practice law in CA.
We offer a collegial working environment. You will be involved with a broad range of legal activities. Knowledge of AI, IP, and/or privacy laws a plus.

Responsibilities will likely include:

Drafting and negotiating commercial (including vendor) contracts, such as consulting agreements, sponsorship agreements, and software licensing agreements.

Managing and updating cloud and other customer software templates.

Reviewing open source license terms and requests.

Privacy and AI-related research and compliance projects.

Providing support on M&A, litigation, and other legal projects, as requested.
This position will provide the successful candidate with the immediate opportunity to positively impact business and become an important contributor to Cadence’s success.
Location: This is an in-office position based out of our San Jose, CA office.
The annual salary range for California is $131,600 to $244,400. You may also be eligible to receive incentive compensation: bonus, equity, and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the salary range is a guideline and compensation may vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
