We are looking for a Junior Legal Counsel (Commercial, Data & Compliance) to team up with our General Counsel and keep Aikido’s legal engine running. We’re talking about contracts, IP, data, compliance, and the occasional M&A. This is a hands-on role for someone sharp, curious, and eager to dive into the fast lane of a growing SaaS scale-up.
Responsibilities
Review, negotiate, and close commercial contracts (customers & suppliers)
Data protection (GDPR) and compliance, including the AI Act
Contract management & pragmatic legal advice to sales, product, and management teams
Support in IP matters (licensing, trademarks, open source) and M&A transactional work
Support in HR-related matters and corporate housekeeping
Explore and implement legal tech & AI tools to help us move fast
Master of Laws and 1-4 years' experience in tech or a law firm (commercial/IT law)
Strong knowledge of contract law & GDPR
Experience negotiating with international counterparties
Fluent in Dutch & English. French is a plus but not required
Bonus points if you’ve worked on IP, M&A, or hold an LL.M. in the US or another international specialization
