Who we seek:
We are seeking a Legal Content Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will have both experience as a privacy practitioner and a strong understanding of technology products, reporting to the Chief Privacy Officer. The role will be responsible for overseeing legal and regulatory content within our products, as well as compliance frameworks. In addition, this will include supporting BigID’s Product Management team as they build and enhance our privacy offerings.
This is a fully remote, full-time contract position.
What you’ll do:
- Develop, implement, and maintain the product content, including:
- Policies / Laws / Regulations
- Security and Privacy Frameworks
- Templates for assessments
- Rights mapping and templates for Privacy Portal across new regulations
- Consent and preference rights, and cookie notice content
- Privacy Notice Management
- Breach laws for Incident Response
- Periodic legal and regulatory updates for customers
- Support Product Management in the development of new privacy products and features.
- Support sales, marketing and alliance efforts as a subject matter expert.
- Manage contractors and/or staff to achieve program and company objectives.
What you’ll bring:
- Juris Doctor (JD) or foreign equivalent such as LL.M preferred.
- At least one IAPP certification (CIPP, CIPM, CIPT).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data privacy.
- Strong understanding of global privacy laws and regulations.
- Strong legal research skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate complex privacy concepts to different audiences.
- A technical background and/or working knowledge of technical concepts, such as databases, data discovery, and software development, are highly desirable.
- Experience working with software technology organizations preferred.
