Position Title: Legal & Compliance Specialist (Assistant Counsel)

We are seeking a talented individual for Legal & Compliance Specialist (Assistant Counsel) position at Marsh. This role will be based in Seoul, Korea.

We will count on you to:

  • Review, draft, and negotiate contracts and related legal documents in accordance with company policies and Korean law, and partner with the business to address comments and secure required global approvals for any exceptions.

  • Lead the legal and regulatory review of business initiatives and projects, including data privacy matters, and deliver practical solutions aligned with company policies and Korean law.

  • Deliver and/or support compliance and legal training for colleagues.

  • Conduct and/or support Korea compliance monitoring, reporting, and related documentation.

  • Support internal investigations, E&O matters, and other incident reviews through to resolution.

  • Provide board, company secretarial, and corporate governance support.

  • Work closely with stakeholders across the business, Finance, Human Resources, Marketing, Operations, and Technology.

  • Support the Legal & Compliance team on urgent and ad hoc matters as needed.

What you need to have:

  • A law degree and qualification as a Korean attorney or U.S. attorney.

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in Legal and/or Compliance.

  • Solid experience in contract review, document drafting, regulatory matters, and compliance monitoring.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Korean.
