Duties:
- Monitor relevant laws, industry regulations, and government policies.
- Ensure company operations comply with data protection, financial, employment, and consumer protection laws.
- Maintain updated compliance policies and manuals.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts (subscriptions, brand partnerships, vendor agreements).
- Ensure contractual terms protect the company’s interests and minimize risks.
- Maintain proper legal documentation and archives.
- Identify potential legal risks and advise management on mitigation.
- Oversee dispute resolution and liaise with external counsel if necessary.
- Develop compliance training programs for staff.
- Ensure board and management decisions align with statutory requirements.
- Advise leadership on corporate responsibilities and ethical practices.
- Supervise reporting requirements to regulators and stakeholders.
Requirements
Qualifications and Skills
- Law degree (LL.B., B.L) and membership in a recognized bar association
- Master of Laws (LL.M.) is an added advantage.
- Relevant experience in Tech Law.
- Strong knowledge of corporate, commercial, and regulatory law.
- Contract drafting and negotiation expertise.
- Understanding of compliance frameworks (data privacy, anti-money laundering, cybersecurity, etc.).
- Excellent research, advisory, and communication skills.
- For senior roles: 5–7 years of legal/compliance experience, and 2-3 years for junior roles
Skills Required
