Position Overview

The Technical Product Manager – Learning Products is responsible for the strategy, lifecycle management, and daily operations of Vertiv’s learning technology ecosystem. This role owns end‑to‑end product management for learning platforms and tools, ensuring they deliver measurable business value, scale globally, and integrate seamlessly with enterprise systems.

Acting as the bridge between business stakeholders, learning teams, Data Analytics & Technology (DAT), IT, and external vendors, this role translates learning and operational needs into clear product requirements, roadmaps, and delivery plans. The Technical Product Manager oversees vendor partnerships, platform performance, system integrations, and continuous improvement initiatives supporting LMS administration, instructional design, and digital learning delivery.

Key Responsibilities Product Strategy & Roadmap

  • Own the product vision, roadmap, and lifecycle for learning platforms and tools, including LMS, learning technologies, and content platforms.
  • Translate business, learning, and operational requirements into clear product features and technical specifications.
  • Prioritize product enhancements based on business impact, user experience, scalability, and return on investment (ROI).
  • Ensure alignment with global learning strategy and enterprise technology standards.

Technology & Platform Management

  • Identify, evaluate, and recommend learning technologies that support learning operations, instructional design, and digital delivery.
  • Assess platform usability, scalability, security, and integration with enterprise systems, coordinating closely with DAT on Vertiv ERP and enterprise system integrations.
  • Lead pilots, proofs of concept, and controlled rollouts of new learning products.
  • Drive continuous optimization and retirement of underperforming or redundant tools.

Vendor & Partner Management

  • Own vendor relationships for learning products, including selection, onboarding, and ongoing performance management.
  • Monitor vendor delivery against agreed service levels and product roadmaps.
  • Serve as the escalation point for vendor performance, delivery risks, and issue resolution.

Delivery & Project Management

  • Lead cross‑functional initiatives for learning product implementations and enhancements.
  • Define delivery plans, milestones, dependencies, success metrics, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations throughout the delivery lifecycle.
  • Develop and execute communication plans for product launches and major enhancements.
  • Communicate product status, roadmap updates, and outcomes to leadership and key stakeholders.

LMS & Learning Operations Collaboration

  • Partner closely with DAT, LMS Administration, Learning Operations, and Instructional Design teams to understand user needs and operational challenges.
  • Ensure learning products effectively support content development, delivery, reporting, and learner experience.
  • Enable scalable and standardized learning processes across regions through technology.

Data, Analytics & Reporting

  • Make product and investment decisions based on data, metrics, and performance insights.
  • Collaborate with Learning Data Analytics and Technology teams to support reporting and metrics.

Governance, Compliance & Integration

  • Coordinate with IT, Security, and DAT teams on system integrations, access, and platform governance.
  • Work closely with DAT on Vertiv Learning (VL) integrations, including APIs and automation initiatives.
  • Support audit readiness and documentation for learning systems, integrations, and vendors.

Qualifications Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Business, Education, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in product management, learning technology, learning operations, or enterprise platforms.
  • Proven experience managing vendors, platforms, and cross‑functional initiatives.
  • Experience supporting LMS platforms, digital learning ecosystems, or enterprise SaaS products.

Technical & Professional Skills

  • Strong understanding of LMS platforms and digital learning ecosystems.
  • Experience with vendor management, procurement processes, and contract governance.
  • Familiarity with system integrations, APIs, automation, and enterprise technology environments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with product and project tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, Confluence, or Zendesk preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting regional or global learning organizations.
  • Exposure to large‑scale LMS implementations or learning platform transformations.
  • Background working with HR, L&D, IT, or Service organizations in an enterprise environment.
