CIMIC Group is seeking an L&D Manager, on a 12 month fixed term contract, to join its People & Culture team. The position is responsible for leading the design, delivery and continuous improvement of enterprise L&D offerings that build workforce capability, strengthen performance and support CIMIC Group’s strategic priorities. The role translates business strategy into practical, scalable learning solutions across leadership, capability, compliance, early careers and future skills.
About the Role
This role reports to the Head of Learning & Development & Diversity, and key responsibilities include:
Lead enterprise L&D portfolios including leadership, capability, early careers, compliance and workforce training
Translate business strategy into practical learning solutions that drive performance and future capability
Own the L&D annual calendar, prioritisation and delivery rhythm
Partner with Business Partners and leaders to understand capability needs and gaps
Act as a practice lead for enterprise programs while supporting allocated client groups
Lead and develop L&D team members through clear direction and coaching and building capability

Tertiary qualifications in Learning, Human Resources or related discipline
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment

Proven experience leading enterprise L&D portfolios in complex, project‑based organisations
Strong capability in leadership development, workforce training and compliance programs
demonstrated capability in learning strategy development, end‑to‑end program design, and high‑quality facilitation at manager and leader level
Experience designing scalable learning solutions aligned to business strategy
Commercial mindset with ability to balance impact, cost and capacity
Influential communicator with credibility across senior leaders and operational teams
