Are you a passionate childcare leader who believes great leaders aren’t born- they’re developed?
If you’re ready to use your experience, vision, and heart to mentor the next generation of childcare leaders, we want you to join our team! We are seeking an experienced, inspiring, and people-focused Leadership Development Director to help strengthen our Director in Training program with hands on training and mentorship.
POSITION PURPOSEThe Leadership Development Director is a key corporate leadership position responsible for developing, training, assessing, and supporting New Creations’ Site Leadership teams. This role is accountable for ensuring that new Site Directors, Assistant Directors, and Directors-in-Training (DITs) are properly prepared, supported, and positioned for long-term success. This leader owns the first 90 days (or less as needed) of a new leader’s development, guiding DITs through a structured onboarding and training experience until they successfully graduate from the DIT program and are prepared to independently lead a New Creations center. The DIT then is given a permanent title and center and moves to an Operation Manager’s team. Training is primarily conducted on-site at the center where the DIT is most likely to be placed, allowing the leader to develop practical skills in the actual environment in which they will lead. In addition to leadership development, this position serves as a corporate operational resource for leadership vacancies and site-level leadership gaps. When a center experiences a Director or Assistant Director vacancy due to termination, resignation, leave of absence, extended absence, or another unexpected leadership need, this role may step in as the interim Site Leader and assume full responsibility for the center until a permanent replacement has been hired, onboarded, and sufficiently trained.
