Success is measured by predictable throughput, team engagement, and execution that builds customer confidence in BW Packaging’s ability to deliver.

Key Responsibilities

Engineering Execution

  • Resolve technical and execution issues, escalating systemic challenges when needed.

  • Ensure standards, documentation, and compliance requirements are consistently applied.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Manage and develop engineers, building technical depth and leadership capacity within the team.

  • Provide clear expectations, coaching, and performance feedback to drive accountability and engagement.

  • Foster a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and disciplined execution.

  • Support career progression and create pathways for talent mobility across engineering functions.

Collaboration & Integration

  • Work closely with Operations and Supply Chain to align engineering execution with manufacturing readiness and cost goals.

  • Ensure compliance and reliability requirements are addressed in engineering design and execution.

  • Collaborate with Engineering Excellence to apply standards and provide feedback for improvement.

  • Engage with Applications Engineering, Automation & Integration, and Innovation Engineering to clarify scope and enable smooth handoffs into execution.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify inefficiencies in workflows and drive local improvements to increase velocity and reduce errors.

  • Champion adoption of digital tools, engineering automation, and best practices that improve execution reliability.

  • Share lessons learned and contribute to building repeatable processes across the broader engineering organization.

  • Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field; equivalent experience considered.

  • 5+ years in engineering roles, with at least 2 years in supervisory or team lead/principal capacity.

  • Proven track record of leading engineering teams to deliver reliably against customer orders and project requirements.

  • Experience applying enterprise engineering standards and working across functions in a matrixed environment.

  • Proficiency with engineering tools, systems, and project-tracking methods.

  • Flexibility to take on evolving responsibilities in response to business needs and priorities.
