Job Description:
The Vibroacoustics Analysis team is part of Advanced Numerical Simulation team, which is in turn a part of the ‘Structural Analysis’ group in the Structures department and plays a key role across the lifecycle (Design, Certification and Inservice) of current and future aircraft programmes by developing and deploying state of the art and credible advanced numerical structural simulations.
Job scope (core activities):
Lead Vibroacoustics simulations to characterize the dynamic response of structures subjected to airborne engine noise and structure-borne engine vibration.
Develop Acoustic Simulation Workflows using advanced acoustic simulation tools to assess sound transmission and acoustic pressure fields across relevant structural components.
Validation of simulation methods through correlation with measurements and calibrating the models
Carrying out Root Cause Analysis and support resolving inservice issues
Develop new simulation methods to make simulations more credible
Automating simulation lifecycle processes to reduce manual efforts and simulation timelines
Explore digitization techniques such as AI / ML to augment simulations
Required Domain Expertise:
Deep fundamental understanding of Computational structural mechanics and Dynamics, wave propagation and structural response mechanisms specifically driven by airborne and structure-borne aircraft engine noise.
Advanced knowledge of Acoustic Simulation Tools and Finite Element Analysis
Experience in Vibroacoustics measurements
Knowledge of scripting languages
Awareness of advanced technologies such as AI and ML
Very good analytical and reasoning skills
Strong aptitude for problem solving
Broad technology exposure
This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company’s success, reputation and sustainable growth.
