Job Title: Lead, Treasury Accountant
Location: Bond Street, London (Hybrid 3 days a week in office)
Department: Global Financial Accounting and Reporting
Reporting Line: Senior Accounting Manager – Financial Reporting and Accounting
The role:
The position is part of the Global Financial Accounting and Reporting team. The individual will have exposure to stakeholders across the business and will be responsible for assisting with the accounting and reporting of corporate entities.
Main Responsibilities:
Chanel Limited (UK Corporate)
- Reporting of all elements of the treasury cycle, including various affiliate loan agreements, significant cash balances, dividend income accounting, third party debt arrangements, foreign exchange swap and spot, etc.;
- Preparation of monthly account analysis including bank reconciliations for multiple cash accounts;
- Preparation of quarterly balance sheet reconciliations;
- Account for ongoing global cash pooling project, for which UK Corporate is the Header;
- Be the main point of contact for accounting queries relating to the global cash pool;
- Fulfill group reporting requirements, including quarterly intercompany reconciliations in ARCs;
- Completion of actuals and forecast cashflow reporting;
- Assist with the accounting for derivatives and apply hedge accounting where applicable; and
- Assist with year-end audit process with external auditors.
Chanel Ceres PLC
- Maintain general ledger in D365;
- Accounting of third-party debt and intercompany loan, which is the sole activity of the entity; and
- Assist with year-end audit process with external auditors including preparation of the statutory accounts.
Other corporate entities
- Assist with quarterly and year-end accounting for other corporate entities;
- Other ad hoc projects.
Requirements:
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA/CA) with two years post qualification experience
- Excellent reconciliation skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Critical thinking and analytical skills
- Organised and detail-orientated
- Ability to work independently and in a hands-on environment
Systems used:
- D365, Oracle (Account Reconciliation and Financial Close and Consolidation), Reval (Treasury tool), TM1, Coupa (S2C and P2P system).
