We're looking for an experienced writer for the Hyperforce Platform Services Content Experience team. To create content, you'll work closely with the product leadership and the engineering teams involved in developing and supporting caching and AI-powered operations for the Salesforce core product.Technical writers at Salesforce produce documentation and content experiences that help customers get the most out of our products. We work closely with other writers, product managers, engineers, and the User Experience (UX) team in an Agile development environment. To drive best practice behavior across Salesforce, we produce documentation, define content strategy, and drive technical enablement with our partners in Training and Agile. We partner with Support, Sales, and senior leadership to deliver content that helps deliver our top business priorities, using Confluence, Trailhead, Markdown/git, and AI. We’re passionate about innovating and developing solution-oriented content strategies that deliver the right content, the right way, at the right time.
Required Experience/Skills
- 8-10+ years of experience documenting software for technical and engineering audiences
- Ability to write clean, concise, and approachable content
- Experience with infrastructure, service, or Dev Ops documentation
- Experience working with PMs, engineers, and leads and managing project delivery and timelines
- Experience juggling multiple priorities, defining scope where ambiguous, and setting and managing expectations with content and engineering stakeholders
- Ability to self-manage and self-prioritize and get alignment
- Ability to create process flow and database architecture diagrams
- Proven ability to craft content for end users
- Ability to quickly learn complex technologies
- High standards of quality and attention to detail
- Experience with common authoring tools and source control software such as Perforce/git
- Excellent problem solver
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong advocate for the customer
- Experience working in an Agile development environment
Desired Experience/Skills
- Background in infrastructure documentation; familiarity with AWS/Google Cloud/Azure service documentation
- Working knowledge of Confluence and/or Markdown/git
- Knowledge of DITA and structured authoring
- Ability to read, understand, and build short code samples in a variety of programming languages
- Experience with CRM applications (Salesforce familiarity a plus)
- Past experience with a cloud-based service provider is a plus
- Programming knowledge with HTML
- A technical background and a willingness to use AI to expedite content creation and reviews
