Lead Technical Program Manager
Overview
Mastercard's Services organization is looking for a Technical Program Manager to lead complex, cross-functional engineering programs that support high-impact client engagements. In this role, you will partner closely with data engineers, consultants, and client stakeholders to drive end-to-end delivery of scalable analytic solutions. You will help build a collaborative, high-performance environment and play a key role in ensuring clients can fully leverage the value of Mastercard's data assets and technology capabilities.
Role
Lead cross-functional and cross-regional Data Engineering teams to deliver high-quality data integration and solution deployments for multiple client engagements.
Build and maintain integrated project schedules, manage dependencies, trade-offs, risks, and execution complexity across teams and stakeholders.
Serve as the primary point of contact for program-level communication, ensuring alignment across clients, consultants, engineering, and leadership.
Partner with client stakeholders to understand business needs and define data integration strategies that drive analytical value.
Ensure accurate delivery of work through consistent inspection of plans, progress, and execution; proactively identify and resolve blockers.
Inform solution design by leveraging knowledge of RDBMS, SQL, BI/visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI), and data warehousing concepts.
Support product development teams with requirements management, user story prioritization, backlog organization, and cross-team dependency management.
Drive continuous improvement across processes, workflows, and communication patterns to enhance team effectiveness.
All about you
8+ years of experience in TPM or equivalent roles, within IT, data platforms, or analytics-driven environments.
Proven expertise in requirements management (Rally, Jira), business analysis, data warehousing, and on-prem/cloud data platforms.
Demonstrated ability to operate independently and make informed decisions to drive complex projects to completion.
Successful in breaking down ambiguous problems, organizing work, planning sprints, and delivering in agile environments (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
Strong track record of data-driven decision-making and applying continuous improvement methodologies.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and engage executives, peers, engineers, and clients.
Experience building strong partnerships across engineering, analytics, consulting, and business teams.
Extensive experience leading technical programs and anticipating execution risks.
Experience as a people manager with the ability to attract, develop, and retain technical talent.
Hands-on familiarity with analytics and visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and similar.
Solid grasp of RDBMS concepts and SQL; ability to engage deeply with data engineering teams.
Bachelor's degree in quantitative discipline such as Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, Business, or related field. Equivalent practical experience may also be considered.
