Title and Summary
Technical Program Manager, Business Experimentation & Optimization Program Management Office
Role Overview
The Business Experimentation & Optimization (BE&O) Program Management Office is seeking a Program Manager to help drive high-impact engineering initiatives across modernization, cloud transformation, data delivery, and analytics platform evolution. This role will partner closely with engineering, product, data, infrastructure, security, business operations, and external partner teams to coordinate execution across complex, cross-functional programs. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, structured problem solver, and execution-focused program leader who can bring clarity, accountability, and momentum to initiatives with many moving parts and critical dependencies.
Key Responsibilities
Lead program planning, coordination, and execution across high-priority BE&O engineering efforts, including modernization, platform migration, and data delivery initiatives.
Partner with engineering leads, product managers, technical leads, BizOps, shared services, and partner teams to define scope, milestones, dependencies, risks, and delivery plans.
Drive operating rhythms, including status updates, stakeholder reviews, dependency tracking, escalation follow-up, and leadership communications.
Manage cross-team communication to ensure teams remain aligned on priorities, timelines, blockers, ownership, and decision points.
Track risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, and decisions across complex programs; ensure mitigation plans and owners are documented and actively managed.
Support modernization workstreams focused on scalable analytics capabilities, cloud-first infrastructure, Databricks and data platform integration, customer data ingestion, and future-state architecture delivery.
Coordinate across infrastructure, security, data, cloud, and enterprise platform teams to unblock delivery and ensure readiness for development, testing, deployment, and production launch.
Prepare executive-ready materials, project updates, roadmaps, dependency views, lessons learned, and decision documents for leadership and partner forums.
Identify opportunities to improve program management practices, delivery transparency, intake processes, and cross-team collaboration across the PMO.
Promote disciplined execution while helping teams adapt to changing priorities, technical constraints, and evolving business needs.
Required Qualifications
Demonstrated experience managing complex technology programs or technical projects with multiple workstreams, dependencies, and stakeholder groups.
Strong understanding of software delivery, cloud modernization, data platforms, infrastructure dependencies, and enterprise technology delivery processes.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical details into clear, actionable updates for business, product, engineering, and leadership audiences.
Proven ability to manage ambiguity, drive alignment, and move teams toward decisions and outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to maintain accurate program plans, status reports, risk logs, and action trackers.
Experience partnering with engineering, product, data, security, operations, and shared services teams to deliver large-scale initiatives.
Ability to influence without direct authority and build trusted working relationships across distributed teams.
Preferred Experience
Experience supporting analytics, experimentation, data delivery, or platform modernization programs.
Familiarity with cloud platforms, Databricks, data lakehouse concepts, API-driven architectures, and scalable data ingestion patterns.
Experience working in a program management office or centralized governance function supporting multiple engineering teams.
Comfort creating executive-facing materials, roadmap views, dependency maps, and stakeholder communications.
Experience with Agile delivery practices, Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, Teams, and program reporting tools.
What Success Looks Like
Critical BE&O modernization and data delivery programs have clear plans, visible ownership, and well-managed dependencies.
Stakeholders understand progress, risks, blockers, and decisions needed without requiring ad hoc follow-up.
Cross-functional teams are aligned on priorities and able to move faster through disciplined coordination and timely escalation.
Leadership has concise, accurate, and actionable visibility into program health, delivery confidence, and areas needing support.
The PMO operating model becomes more consistent, transparent, and effective across engineering initiatives.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a proactive program leader who thrives at the intersection of engineering execution, stakeholder communication, and operational discipline. They are comfortable navigating complex technical environments, driving accountability across teams, and creating clear communication structures that help leadership and delivery teams stay aligned.
