We are seeking a senior sustainability professional with 15+ years of commercial-building domain experience to lead customer sustainability transformation through smart building technologies, digital platforms and Agentic AI-enabled operating models. The role acts as a trusted advisor to customers and executive stakeholders, translating energy, carbon, ESG and autonomous optimization concepts into measurable business outcomes, including energy efficiency, decarbonization, operational excellence and net-zero progress.
ResponsibilitiesKEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Sustainability Strategy & Advisory
- Lead sustainability assessments and strategic roadmaps for commercial buildings, real estate portfolios, campuses and critical infrastructure.
- Advise customers on decarbonization pathways, energy optimization, net-zero programs, ESG reporting and sustainability best practices.
- Identify opportunities to improve building performance, occupant experience, operational resilience and environmental impact.
- Provide solution consulting across discovery, assessment, solution definition, implementation support and value realization.
Agentic AI for Intelligent Building Operations
- Define and scale Agentic AI applications that autonomously monitor, analyze, recommend and optimize commercial-building operations.
- Develop use cases across energy optimization, carbon reduction, predictive maintenance, fault detection, space utilization, comfort control and ESG performance monitoring.
- Collaborate with product, engineering and data-science teams to design agent workflows, multi-agent orchestration patterns, guardrails and human-in-the-loop operating models.
- Translate customer sustainability challenges into AI-enabled solution architectures using digital twins, IoT data, BMS/EMS integration, OT systems, analytics and autonomous decision workflows.
Customer Engagement & Value Communication
- Engage C-level executives, sustainability leaders, facility managers, operations teams and engineering stakeholders as a trusted advisor.
- Develop compelling business cases covering ROI, energy savings, carbon abatement, productivity gains, asset uptime and reduced manual operational effort.
- Facilitate workshops, executive briefings and strategy sessions that align sustainability ambition with practical implementation roadmaps.
- Present recommendations, deployment plans and realized outcomes clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
Solution Development, Delivery & Measurement
- Partner with sales, product management, engineering, consulting and services teams to create customer-centric sustainability and AI solutions.
- Support solution architecture and implementation planning to ensure proposed capabilities deliver measurable environmental, operational and financial outcomes.
- Define KPIs, baselines and measurement frameworks for energy intensity, carbon emissions, comfort, uptime, issue resolution and adoption.
- Establish repeatable playbooks and frameworks for AI-driven sustainability consulting and autonomous building optimization.
Innovation & Thought Leadership
- Track emerging sustainability regulations, market needs, smart-building technologies, AI/ML innovation, GenAI, Agentic AI frameworks and digital transformation trends.
- Contribute to new offerings, solution accelerators, service models and scalable frameworks for intelligent building operations.
- Represent the organization in industry forums, customer events, executive briefings and sustainability-focused engagements.
- Mentor teams and foster a culture of innovation, customer centricity, responsible AI adoption and continuous improvement.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Sustainability, Energy Management, Environmental Engineering or a related discipline; master's degree preferred.
- 15+ years of experience in sustainability consulting, energy management, commercial building operations, building automation, smart buildings, facility management or related industries.
- Deep knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS), Energy Management Systems (EMS), building automation, IoT architectures and operational technology environments.
- Practical experience in sustainability assessments, energy audits, carbon accounting, building-performance optimization and decarbonization programs.
- Familiarity with LEED, WELL, GRESB, ISO 50001 and related ESG, energy and sustainability frameworks.
- Experience with AI/ML, Generative AI, Agentic AI frameworks, Microsoft Copilot, Azure AI, OpenAI or comparable AI orchestration platforms.
- Experience developing business cases and roadmaps for AI-enabled sustainability, smart-building transformation or digital operations programs.
- Demonstrated success driving innovation through emerging technologies, analytics, data-driven decisions and scalable operating models.
