The Lead Tech Product Manager / Executive Program Manager serves as a trusted partner to the VP of Engineering, driving strategic execution, operational rigor, organizational effectiveness, and cross-functional alignment. This role acts as an extension of the VP, ensuring priorities are translated into action, decisions are tracked to completion, and the Engineering organization operates with discipline, transparency, and velocity.
The ideal candidate combines program management expertise, executive communication skills, business acumen, and solid organizational capabilities. This individual will help coordinate leadership activities, manage key initiatives, support workforce planning, and prepare executive-level communications and reporting.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Strategic Execution & Business Operations
- Support execution of the VP's strategic priorities and annual operating plan
- Monitor progress against key objectives, milestones, and commitments
- Drive follow-up and accountability across engineering leaders
- Identify execution risks, dependencies, and mitigation plans
- Coordinate cross-functional initiatives involving Product, Technology, Finance, Security, and Operations teams
- Executive Office Management
- Act as an extension of the VP Engineering office
- Prepare meeting agendas, briefing materials, talking points, and executive communications
- Manage leadership action items and decision logs
- Ensure key decisions are documented and communicated appropriately
- Facilitate leadership team operating cadence and governance forums
- Program & Portfolio Management
- Track strategic programs, transformation initiatives, and organizational commitments
- Build executive dashboards and status reporting
- Coordinate quarterly business reviews, operating reviews, and planning activities
- Maintain portfolio health indicators, risks, dependencies, and escalations
- Drive consistency across program management practices
- Workforce & Organizational Planning
- Support workforce planning, hiring, organizational design, and capacity reviews
- Monitor hiring progress and workforce metrics
- Assist with talent reviews, succession planning, and organizational initiatives
- Support location strategy and staffing optimization efforts
- Financial & Operational Governance
- Partner with Finance and Engineering leaders to track budgets and resource utilization
- Maintain reporting on and operational metrics
- Monitor performance against organizational goals
- Support annual planning and forecasting exercises
- Executive Communications
- Develop executive presentations, leadership updates, monthly reports, and QBR materials
- Synthesize complex information into concise executive messages
- Create leadership narratives using data-driven insights
- Draft communications for VP and senior leadership audiences
- AI & Transformation Support
- Coordinate AI adoption, automation, and engineering transformation initiatives
- Track AI productivity, adoption, training, and workforce transformation metrics
- Support governance and change management activities
- Drive operational excellence through process improvement and automation

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in Program Management, PMO, Strategy & Operations, Chief of Staff, Consulting, or Engineering Operations
- Experience supporting senior leaders or executive teams
- Proven solid project and program management capabilities
- Proven advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills
- Proven excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven solid analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA or advanced degree
- Experience within a large technology organization
- Experience building executive dashboards and KPI reporting
- Experience working across global teams
- Familiarity with Agile delivery and software engineering practices
- Exposure to AI, automation, and digital transformation initiatives
