Position Purpose:
The Lead M365 Systems Engineer will serve as the technical authority leader for Microsoft 365 (M365) initiatives, focusing on messaging, collaboration, and personal productivity AI solutions. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing enterprise-wide M365 services, including Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, Grammarly, and other AI-driven productivity tools. The individual will lead efforts to enhance automation, improve user experience, and ensure secure, compliant, and scalable solutions across the organization. Trains, mentors, and supports systems engineers. Installs, configures and upgrades and enhancements to software/hardware/network systems.
- Manage M365 services for Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and related collaboration platforms.
- Drive automation initiatives using PowerShell, Power Automate, and Copilot Studio for workflow optimization.
- Lead AI integration projects leveraging Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, and third-party tools like Grammarly to enhance productivity and communication.
- Oversee governance, compliance, and security for M365 and AI solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational policies.
- Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Develop observability and monitoring strategies using tools like Splunk, Dynatrace, and Graph API for proactive system health management.
- Act as a liaison between engineering, product teams, and business stakeholders to define SLAs, SLOs, and strategic roadmaps.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:
A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science) and requires 5 – 7 years of related experience.
Or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position.
Technical Skills:
- Microsoft 365 Expertise: Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive.
- Automation & Scripting: Advanced PowerShell, Power Automate, and workflow orchestration.
- AI Tools: Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, Grammarly, GitHub Copilot.
- Proven experience in AI productivity tools deployment and management (Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, Grammarly).
- Monitoring & Observability: Splunk, Dynatrace, Graph API integration.
- Security & Compliance: Microsoft Purview, DLP policies, audit log management.
- Familiarity with Power Platform (Power Apps, Dataverse) and integration with M365 services.
- Demonstrated success in leading complex automation and collaboration projects in large-scale organizations.
