Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead SQA Automation Engineer to oversee our quality assurance automation strategies and ensure the highest level of software quality across our SaaS platforms. The ideal candidate will lead a team of QA engineers, design robust automation frameworks, and drive the continuous improvement of automated testing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of SQA engineers in designing, developing, and executing automated test frameworks and scripts.
- Define and implement comprehensive test strategies for functional, regression, performance, and scalability testing.
- Collaborate closely with product management, development, and DevOps teams to understand requirements and ensure robust test coverage.
- Design and maintain test automation frameworks for web, API, and mobile applications using modern automation tools.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for testing efficiency, test coverage, and defect management.
- Manage and optimize CI/CD pipelines to integrate automated testing processes seamlessly.
- Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in quality engineering and automation to enhance testing practices.
- Drive continuous improvements in software quality processes, tools, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in software quality assurance with at least 3+ years in automation testing.
- Proven experience leading QA teams and driving quality initiatives.
- Expertise in designing automation frameworks using tools like Selenium, Cypress, Appium, or similar technologies.
- Strong proficiency with scripting languages (Python, JavaScript, or similar) for automation.
- Hands-on experience with API testing tools such as Postman, Rest Assured, or SOAP UI.
- Proficiency in working with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps for automated testing integration.
- Familiarity with performance and load testing tools such as JMeter or Gatling.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with cloud-based platforms and SaaS products.
- Knowledge of security testing methodologies and tools.
- Familiarity with compliance-driven environments or FinTech/RegTech domains.
