Pre Sales Engineer – Security & Smart Infrastructure

We’re seeking a technically sharp, customer-focused Pre-Sales Engineer to help us deliver innovative and reliable solutions across commercial, enterprise, government and data centre environments. If you're passionate about CCTV, Access Control, and Smart Infrastructure integrations, such as BMS, IoT, AI and Computer Vision and have the passion to turn complexity into clarity - this role is for you.
What You'll Do
- Customer & Sales Partnership: Partner with Sales Representatives and customers to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Customer Engagement: Support customer meetings, site assessments, and workshops to uncover detailed technical and operational requirements
- Solution Design: Create system designs that balance performance, reliability, and scalability
- Technical Leadership: Lead technical discussions, presentations, and solution walk‑throughs
- Sales Support: Support Wesco Anixter local and global sales teams with high‑quality technical input and clear documentation
- Innovation & Best Practice: Apply the latest industry best practices and technologies, particularly when sizing, performance planning, and designing complex systems
- Global Collaboration: Collaborate with the broader Global TSS community to ensure customer expectations are consistently met or exceeded, setting standards others follow
- Team Contribution: Demonstrate a proactive, helpful approach to supporting peers and contributing to Anixter’s success
- Operational Excellence: Handle customer enquiries efficiently, remain organised and analytical, and remove obstacles through creative and adaptive problem‑solving
- Supplier Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with product suppliers to sustain and expand competitive advantage

Emerging Technologies: Apply experience across BMS, Lighting Control, IoT, AI, and/or Computer Vision where relevant
What You Bring
- Valid Security License from the respective state of residence
- Hands on VMS experience – Genetec, Milestone, Hanwha etc
- Video Analytics exposure – BriefCam or something similar
- Windows Server, SQL and VMware working knowledge
- L1 support background with real customer facing experience will be an added advantage.
- Commitment to maintaining industry‑standard certifications and compliance‑aligned security licensing
