Qualifications:

Education
Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s degree preferred  

Work Experience 
A minimum of 10 years' progressive experience in a related field required

Other Work Experience 
10+ years of experience in customer engagement, solution design, or technology delivery, with 3 - 5 years of leadership experience

Travel Requirements
Up to 25% of the time Domestic and International Travel

• Ability to communicate and collaborate with senior client leaders, as well as internal WWT team members, driving towards a strategic solution
• Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and conceive creative solutions to intricate or ambiguous problems within collaborative team settings

Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $140,000 to $175,000 annually. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that are not included in the base pay.

Position Overview: 

As a Services Solution Architect specializing in Infrastructure and Data Center solutions within the Solutions group, you will develop enterprise data center services across server and compute platforms, enterprise storage systems, network infrastructure, virtualization technologies, and hybrid cloud integration. You will translate customer requirements into structured, delivery-ready data center solutions that encompass modern compute, storage, and networking capabilities.

You will independently navigate contemporary data center architectures while developing competitive business cases, cost estimates, and risk-adjusted pricing strategies. In this role, you will lead technical discovery sessions to identify business drivers, technical requirements, existing environment constraints, and operational dependencies, translating these findings into detailed scopes and commercially sound engagement models.

This role requires deep data center expertise and strong professional services discipline. As a senior individual contributor, you will serve as the deal “quarterback,” owning solution development from discovery through final approval prior to submission. You will align architects, sales teams, and delivery stakeholders to a unified, executable solution, ensuring technical accuracy, scope clarity, and commercial viability.

Job Responsibilities

• Enterprise Data Center Solutions: Lead solution opportunities by defining clear scope, validating requirements, and developing practical, implementable data center solutions across server compute platforms, enterprise storage systems, network architecture, and virtualization & cloud integration (e.g., VMware, Microsoft Hyper-V, Azure Stack). Leverage technologies from leading vendors to design comprehensive, scalable data center architectures that meet enterprise requirements.
• Opportunity Alignment & Discovery: Work closely with account teams to qualify opportunities, lead structured discovery sessions, validate scope boundaries, and ensure solutions align with customer technical and operational needs in the data center domain.
• Financial Modeling & Estimation: Develop cost estimates that factor in delivery complexity, sequencing, and execution risk. Independently build detailed, activity-based Level of Effort (LoE) models using task-level work breakdown structures (WBS), resource alignment, and phased timelines aligned to a centralized delivery model, while accounting for multi-vendor integration and licensing considerations.
• Proposal & SOW Development: Craft clear, defensible proposals aligned to defined scope and desired outcomes. Translate approved data center solution scope and LoE into formal Statements of Work (SOW), including deliverables, milestones, assumptions, exclusions, acceptance criteria, and a comprehensive governance structure. As part of this consulting with Legal and Compliance teams will be necessary.
• Risk & Deal Governance: Serve as the final solution authority prior to submission, ensuring scope clarity, delivery feasibility, and margin protection. Assess integration complexity (including multi-vendor hardware/software components), customer readiness, solution scale, and third-party dependencies. Incorporate mitigation strategies and contingency plans into pricing models and contractual language to address identified risks.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build strong working relationships across sales, delivery, and services teams to ensure alignment and execution readiness within a centralized delivery model. Facilitate communication between engineering, project management, and service delivery teams to guarantee the proposed data center solution is fully vetted and executable.
• Performance Expectations: Success in this role is measured by solution quality, estimation accuracy, defensibility of scope, margin performance, and the ability to enable sales teams to successfully close data center services engagements. Consistently deliver high-quality solutions that meet client needs while maintaining profitability and supporting sales in winning new business.
