About the Role
We are seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer to define, own, and govern the endtoend DevOps and deployment lifecycle for enterprise applications delivered by both internal teams and external vendors. In this role, you will be accountable for how code is securely and reliably shipped to GCP, including infrastructure provisioning using Terraform and standardized CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions. You will act as the primary DevOps owner and interface for vendors, gathering requirements, setting standards, and implementing scalable, repeatable, and compliant deployment solutions across all projects.
Key Responsibilities
Own and govern the endtoend DevOps lifecycle across all projects, including those delivered by external vendors.
Define the DevOps strategy, standards, and operating model for building, deploying, and running applications on GCP.
Design, build, and standardize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, ensuring reuse and consistency across projects.
Act as the primary DevOps interface for vendor teams, gathering requirements and translating them into compliant CI/CD and infrastructure solutions.
Own infrastructure provisioning patterns on GCP using Terraform, ensuring infrastructureascode best practices are followed consistently.
Define and enforce DevOps templates, reusable pipelines, and reference architectures.
Govern secure and reliable deployments to Cloud Run, GKE, Cloud Functions, and related GCP services.
Ensure all environments (dev, test, prod) are consistent, reproducible, and compliant.
Provide technical leadership and escalation support for build failures, deployment issues, and release automation.
Define and maintain logging, monitoring, and alerting standards across all deployed services.
Drive continuous improvement in deployment reliability, automation maturity, and operational efficiency.
Partner with security and engineering teams to define and enforce secrets management, access control, and compliance practices.
Create and maintain DevOps documentation, onboarding playbooks, and runbooks for internal teams and vendors.
Mentor and guide engineers and vendors on DevOps best practices and expectations.
Required Qualifications
10+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Platform Engineering, with leadlevel ownership of DevOps practices.
Strong handson experience with GCP, with demonstrated responsibility for defining deployment patterns and standards for cloudnative services.
Proven expertise in Terraform, including designing and governing reusable infrastructure modules.
Strong experience building and standardizing CI/CD pipelines, preferably using GitHub Actions, across multiple teams or projects.
Demonstrated experience leading DevOps for multiteam and vendordriven delivery models.
Solid understanding of containerization (Docker) and container orchestration concepts, with experience defining best practices.
Experience defining and governing source control strategies, branching models, and release workflows.
Strong troubleshooting skills across build, deployment, and runtime issues, with ability to lead resolution and prevent recurrence.
Proven experience defining DevOps standards, templates, reusable automation, and operating guidelines.
Strong communication and stakeholdermanagement skills to work effectively with vendors, engineering, security, and leadership teams.

Experience deploying and operating workloads on GKE, Cloud Run, and Cloud Functions, at scale across multiple environments.
