Khoros is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join our fast-growing team. As a Lead Software Engineer, you will work closely with Product Owners and Engineers to craft beautiful and engaging interfaces for Khoros customers. The engineer we're looking for possesses an eye for detail, a creative can-do spirit, and a healthy amount of patience and empathy.
Some Responsibilities Include
- Provide technical leadership, including research, analysis, prototyping, and optimization input into the product development process
- Contribute to the planning and optimization of the product/technical roadmaps
- Leading architectural design discussions across teams and organizations
- Championing and upholding an exceptional engineering culture and practices
- Communicating with clarity, transparency and candor with stakeholders like Product Management and Engineering Leadership
- Shaping agile processes to support great teamwork and delivery
Minimum Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in full-stack software development building enterprise scale applications in a cloud environment.
- 5+ years of experience with Javascript, HTML and CSS
- 2+ years of experience with ES2015+, React, Redux, CSS Preprocessors, and Webpack (or equivalent bundler)
- Good understanding of real-time streaming solutions using Kafka, Kinesis or similar.
- Experience with DB's like Postgres, MongoDB, DynamoDB
- Experience with change management and collaborating with git and pull requests
- Experience with RESTful APIs and gRPC.
- 2+ years of experience in Java or Golang.
- Performing code reviews and improving code quality by applying solid design principles
- Experience with the Agile development process.
- Exhibiting end-to-end ownership of a feature/task/bug
- Good experience with AWS or any other cloud platform
Nice to Haves
- Understanding of social media platforms and their use in the AI domain
- High-level GenAI understanding or experience with no-code/low code solutions
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes
- Experience building component libraries with React
- Experience with performance optimizations
- Familiarity with observability tools like Sumologic and with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD technologies.
