As a Signal and Power-Integrity (SIPI) lead in the Packaging team, you will collaborate with team members and cross-functional experts to define SIPI architecture and optimize package design for Tenstorrent’s chiplet-based products

This role is hybrid ideally based out of Toronto but we are also open to hiring in Austin, TX and Ottawa, Canada. 

We welcome candidates at various experience levels for this role. During the interview process, candidates will be assessed for the appropriate level, and offers will align with that level, which may differ from the one in this posting.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish workflows and best practices for SIPI analysis.
  • Provide architectural insights to improve package and product-level designs.
  • Lead feasibility studies to guide product definitions.
  • Collaborate with teams across Silicon Architecture, PCB, and System Integration to develop accurate simulation models.
  • Drive innovation through cross-functional partnerships in technology development.
  • Conduct SIPI analyses using industry-standard tools (e.g., Ansys SI-Wave, HFSS-3D-layout).
  • Mentor and support junior engineers to foster a culture of growth and learning.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in SIPI analysis of high-power electronics
  • Strong fundamental understanding of SIPI concepts
  • Familiarity with ANSYS and cadence tools
  • Experience in VR/IVR modeling and design is a plus
  • Experience in pre-layout modeling and analysis is a plus
  • Ability to break complex problems into smaller problems and solve them
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and changing requirements and to come up with creative solutions
  • Strong cross-functional communication and collaboration
  • Ability to initiate investigations and drive cross-functional developments
