Site, Business, OR Functional Area OverviewThis role is based in Evendale, Ohio within Services Project Management supporting aftermarket product support commitments for military customers. The position partners closely with services sourcing, procurement, legal, engineering, quality, repair/MRO operations, and suppliers to ensure strong supplier performance and compliant execution for the F414 Navy customer.
Role OverviewThe Lead Services Specialist 1 will engage with suppliers to improve understanding, accountability, and execution of aftermarket product support commitments, including repair availability, on-time delivery, repair turnaround time (TAT), warranty, and reliability.
This role builds and manages supplier relationships, supports negotiations and long-term repair support contracting, and represents the voice of the customer in supplier interactions. The role also collects and analyzes supplier performance data, leads recovery actions when delivery or performance is at risk, and ensures adherence to applicable military customer requirements and regulatory frameworks.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupplier Performance & Customer Commitments: Drive supplier accountability to achieve aftermarket support commitments (availability, OTD, TAT, warranty, reliability) for the F414 Navy customer. Data Collection & Analysis: Collect supplier data, support analysis, and maintain clear reporting (including scorecards) on spend, delivery, and performance trends. Delivery Barrier Removal: Partner with Services Sourcing Leaders to identify delivery barriers, establish recovery plans, and resolve supplier performance issues. Supplier Relationship Management: Build trust-based supplier relationships; conduct supplier engagements, including visits and on-site reviews, representing customer and business priorities. Contracting & Negotiation Support: Support or lead supplier negotiations and long-term repair support agreements; interface with the Legal team as needed. Compliance & Regulatory Execution: Ensure customer satisfaction and compliance with military customer requirements and applicable regulatory frameworks (including FAR/DFAR/DPAS and related oversight expectations). Procurement & Order Management: Execute and/or coordinate RFQs, requisitions-to-PO conversion, PO placement, and PO health reporting; review orders for accuracy and compliance. Repair Industrialization: Support industrialization of new parts and repairs at suppliers, including capability/capacity alignment for current and future services contracts. Cross-Functional Integration: Work effectively in a matrixed environment with procurement, engineering, quality, MRO/repair operations, sales, and external partners to ensure supplier execution aligns to customer needs. Tools, Systems & Access Management: Operate across required sourcing and services systems and coordinate software access requests (including for contingent employees) as needed to enable execution. Special Projects & Productivity: Lead special projects supporting productivity initiatives and broader services performance improvements. Executive Communication: On occasion, brief senior executive leadership on supplier performance, risks, recovery plans, and key actions; communicate precisely and proactively in incomplete-information environments.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
- OR a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in relevant job family groups/functions
