Wells Fargo is seeking a highly skilled Lead Risk Analytics Consultant with deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Python/Spark, and OpenShift to support our Model Compute platforms team. This role supports the operational stability of platforms used by MRM and tenants across the enterprise. You'll contribute to triaging issues, maintaining observability and support tooling, and partnering with infrastructure and cloud teams to ensure continuity of service.
In this role, you will:
- Lead complex initiatives related to business analysis and modeling, including those that are cross functional, with broad impact, and act as key participant in data aggregation, monitoring, and reporting of stress testing and portfolio analysis for Risk Analytics
- Review and analyze complex programing models to extract data and manipulate databases to provide statistical and financial modeling specific to businesses supported
- Manage the roll out of pilot programs developed as a result of programmed models for supported businesses and product line
- Make decisions in complex product strategies, data modeling, and risk exposure, requiring solid understanding of business unit projects and regulatory responses, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements that influence and lead Analytic and Reporting to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
- Collaborate and consult with peers, less experienced to more experienced managers, to resolve production, project, and regulatory issues, and achieve risk analysts, and common modeling goals
- Lead projects, teams, and mentor
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Risk Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- Hands on working experience on distributed systems, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), and data storage solutions (e.g., S3, HDFS)
- Programing: Strong coding skills in Python, Airflow, Django; experience with shell scripting is a plus.
- Proficiency in Spark frameworks (Python/PySpark)
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes concerts (e.g., pods, deployments, services and images)
- Strong understanding of networking, security, and CI/CD pipelines in a cloud environment.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (i.e., Terraform, Ansible)
- Experience supporting Generative AI environments
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues at scale.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Familiarity with service management tools such as JIRA, ServiceNow, and other cloud monitoring tools.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related filed
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (Compute, IAM, Storage, Network, Monitoring)
- Strong knowledge of Red Hat OpenShift(Container, Orchestration, pods, operator, CI/CD Pipelines)
- Experience supporting or integrating EPLX (or other enterprise platforms)
- Familiarity with automation and infrastructure-as-code tools
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical and communication skills
Job Expectations
- Participate in incident triage and resolution across platform services
- Maintain observability tooling to ensure visibility into system performance and reliability
- Collaborate with infrastructure teams (e.g., Google Cloud Platform support) to resolve platform level issues
- Conduct diagnostics and contribute to root cause analysis for platform incidents
