Job Purpose
Reporting to the Senior Director, Research, the Lead Research Analyst will be responsible for the development and execution of our corporate research agenda, including Great Minds implementation services. This position plays a key role in shaping the company's strategic direction by delivering actionable insights derived from both internal research studies and targeted impact analyses. This role will lead the discovery of innovative ideas and insights and should be able to coach and mentor junior researchers in the development of their work when relevant.
Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain an enterprise research agenda, in partnership with managers across the company.
  • Lead the discovery of innovative ideas and insights including hypothesis generation, primary and secondary research, and root cause analysis to identify actionable insights that support the Success team.
  • Drive key findings from complex datasets and use findings to develop analytically sound, logically ordered research pieces.
  • Develop insights that are practical and actionable (not necessarily academic) to be grounded in workflows.
  • Independently create and manage such key research deliverables, including white papers, case studies, presentations, templates, round-table discussions, or custom, in-bound research requests.
  • Conduct interviews with senior executives, academics, and industry experts in search of innovative ideas.
  • Use research findings to inform product development, implementation strategy, and other strategic capabilities across Great Minds.
  • Cultivate and maintain a strong and supportive Great Minds culture in all work environments, with an emphasis on trust, collegiality, curiosity, and quality
  • Support the professional growth and development of Great Minds employees
  • Communicate across multiple Great Minds teams (Implementation Services, Operations and Analytics, Services Development and Design, and Research and Policy)
  • Provide timely communications to the Success leadership team to address priorities, challenges, feedback, and other matters relevant to Great Minds and its mission


Job requirements
Requirements

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in the design and implementation of rigorous research, within formal research institutions
  • Experience and comfort with analyzing, synthesizing, and distilling large amounts of quantitative and qualitative information
  • Fluency in research method types, standards, and quality of research
  • Strong storytelling ability that translates research findings into action
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with particular attention to precision of language and ability to organize information logically
  • Ability to manage projects and drive ideas forward to advance initiatives
  • Ability to work both independently as well as part of a team

  • Experience and knowledge of K-12 education with a bachelor's or master's degree in the field
  • Passion for and commitment to the importance of high-quality, knowledge-rich curriculum

Location
The expected base salary range for this position is $95,000-$110,000, however the offered salary may be higher or lower than the above range dependent on numerous factors including, but not limited to location, work experience, skills and internal equity considerations. The base salary is not inclusive of benefits or other incentives.
