The CVAD (Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops) team within Citrix is seeking a Lead Release Management Engineer who is passionate about driving operational excellence through cross-functional processes impacting Engineering teams across various geographies. 

We are particularly interested in candidates with a strong background in software development, including hands-on experience with Software Development, Test execution or Automation.

Job Description:

 As a key provider of virtualization, cloud computing, and workspace solutions, Citrix requires a Lead Release Management Engineer  to manage the end-to-end release process and  providing the team with the necessary expertise in cross-functional technical program management, enabling team to effectively track and report deliverables, mitigate risks, and ensure alignment with Citrix objective of being mission critical product solution provider.

Driving strategic cross functional programs along with Release Manager to ensure high-quality, feature-rich product releases for the Citrix CVAD Product suite at a predictable and regular cadence along with

Owning End-to-End Comprehensive Technical Release Management with Focus on Quality Assurance.

Proactively Identifying, assessing, and mitigating release risks, developing contingency plans throughout the release lifecycle.

In this role you will deliver Citrix customer’s Rapid Access to Innovation , quick issue resolution to minimize disruptions.

It will need close collaboration with engineering, product management and support teams. 

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain a release schedule for the Citrix CVAD Product suite. Coordinate with stakeholders to define the scope and track readiness of releases. 

Manage the end-to-end release process, including planning, development, testing, and deployment, while conducting release readiness reviews and owning go/no-go decisions. 

Oversee quality assurance to meet standards, ensure testing and defect management processes are followed, and collaborate with QA teams on test plans and execution. 

Identify, assess, and mitigate release risks, developing contingency plans and monitoring risks throughout the release lifecycle. 

Implement best practices and continuous improvements and provide regular status updates to stakeholders about improvements. .

Utilize tools for version control, CI/CD, and release automation, ensuring compliance on shipped binaries. 

Provide support for resolving release-related customer issues and gather feedback to improve future releases.

Work closely with development, QA, support, and product management teams to ensure smooth execution, facilitating communication and collaboration among cross-functional teams.

Work on cross-functional initiatives closely with Engineering & Product teams to drive execution of strategic initiatives, proactively identifying risks & obstacles along with mitigation plans.

Manage the collaboration between engineering, product, design, and other functions by identifying priorities, defining cross-functional milestones, and creating plans

Work with Citrix CVAD teams to identify product dependencies, drive alignment and track ongoing progress.

Create and manage detailed work breakdowns program plans, including scope, dependency, risks.

Create products program & release status tracking, dashboards and communication between project stakeholders to ensure overall healthy program health.

Contribute to an environment that removes obstacles to cross functional program completion.

Work closely with engineering teams on priority and productivity process improvements.

Required Experience/Skills:

Expertise in using Atlassian tools (Jira, JQL , Jira Dashboard Report ) for  issues, bugs, and project progress tracking and agile project management.

Understanding of Agile values, principles, and practical use.

Familiarity with cloud technologies (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure).

Experience with Git/GitHub for version control and code collaboration

Proficient in Jenkins/TeamCity for CI/CD.

Knowledgeable in Splunk/Grafana for data visualization ,monitoring and logging.

Skilled in Confluence or Google Workspace for team collaboration & planning

Ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage trade-offs, and evaluate new technologies.

Familiarity with system design and architecture of cloud and on-prem products.

Experience leading global projects and collaborating with diverse cross-functional teams.

Understanding of SDLC through hands-on software development in Java, .Net, or Python.

SQL: For querying and analyzing data from databases.

Proven ability to solve blocker problems between product management, engineering, support and security teams.

Strong multitasking abilities in a dynamic environment.

Excellent facilitation, conflict mediation, and situational awareness skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to articulate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Optional Experience/Skills:

Agile Certification: SAFe SSM, CSM, PMP-ACP

Knowledge of the Kanban framework

Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels. Skilled in managing expectations and negotiating priorities.

Experience in customer outage and solution delivery processes

Working knowledge of current front-end web technologies

Tableau / Power BI: For data visualization and reporting.

Education 
Requires a University Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience OR a Master’s degree in the same fields with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
