JOB OVERVIEW

The Supplier Quality Lead oversees Receiving Inspection activities and manages supplier-related quality and documentation issues for incoming material. This role ensures all parts meet quality, traceability, and documentation requirements while maintaining efficient parts flow to support operations.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead, and prioritize daily activities of Receiving Inspectors, including workload distribution, coverage, and overtime planning.
  • Coordinate with internal departments (Operations, Planning, Quality) to ensure consistent parts flow and support Production needs.
  • Provide support to Receiving Inspectors on inspections, transactions, and decision-making.
  • Inspect and review incoming material issues to ensure conformance to specifications, documentation, and traceability requirements.
  • Oversee the work performed by Inspectors who are unfamiliar with the methods, techniques, practices, and equipment used to perform maintenance, preventive maintenance, or alterations.
  • Log, track, and resolve quality and documentation discrepancies for incoming orders.
  • Manage quarantined or non-conforming parts, including proper segregation, tracking, and dispositionin a timely manner.
  • Communicate with Supply Chain and/or vendors to resolve quality issues, missing documentation, and shipment discrepancies.
  • Track and report quality metrics, including defects and documentation compliance, and partner with Supply Chain, Quality, and Compliance to address supplier performance issues.
  • Work with Quality to ensuretimelyimplementation of effective supplier corrective actions.
  • Handle anyadditionaltasks as requested.

Qualifications:

  • High School or equivalent and basic computer skills 
  • PreviousInspection and/or Supply Chain experience in an Engine MRO shop.
  • A&P License
  • Experience using Quantum Controls ERP.
  • Strong understanding of part traceability and documentation requirements.
  • Familiarity with FAA Part 145 / EASA regulations foraircraftjet engines.
  • Experience working with suppliers and driving issue resolution.
  • Effective communication skills with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-directed, motivated, and able to work with limited supervision.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
