Nixxes Software is an industry-leading Dutch company specializing in video game design, development and porting. In July 2021 Nixxes joined PlayStation Studios to focus on delivering the highest-quality gameplay experiences for PlayStation fans.
For our studio in Utrecht, The Netherlands, we are looking for a passionate and skilled Lead Programmer with a strong understanding of team leadership best practices and game development in the AAA industry. As Lead Programmer at Nixxes, you will lead day-to-day development work on PC porting projects and coordinate and guard the goals set with production and management.
- Guide and guard team goals with production and internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the developers on the team and manage day-to-day progress.
- Take ownership over technical challenges.
- Work alongside management to verify project strategies and direction.
- Work together with experts at PlayStation Studios worldwide and hardware vendors on challenging projects.
- Work together with your team on a variety of PlayStation Studios custom engines.
- Collaborate with teams and experts from different PlayStation Studios.
- Experience leading a team of developers.
- Fluent in C++ and other applicable programming languages.
- Good understanding of code performance and complexity.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Communicates with directness and frankness and is adept at conflict resolution.
- High standards of respect and values for strong teamwork are important.
- Ability to adapt swiftly and effectively to changing circumstances.
- Positive thinker with an ambitious drive towards quality and success.
- 5(+) years of experience in the game development industry.
- Experience with reporting to and working with external partners.
- (Fluent) Dutch speaker.
