Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Product Manager within the Commercial Bank to serve as a Product Owner responsible for driving execution of strategic product initiatives and delivering customer and business value through agile product teams. This role will partner closely with Product Managers, Technology Leaders, Architects, Operations, Risk, and business stakeholders to translate strategic priorities into actionable product capabilities, ensuring successful delivery of solutions that meet customer needs, regulatory requirements, and operational objectives.
In this role, you will:
- Lead one or more product teams in delivering business and customer value through execution of product initiatives aligned with established product strategies and roadmaps.
- Own and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business priorities, customer needs, risk requirements, and regulatory commitments.
- Collaborate with L2/L3 Product Managers and stakeholders to translate strategic objectives into actionable epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Drive backlog refinement, sprint planning, release planning, product reviews, and demonstrations to ensure effective execution and delivery.
- Partner with technology, architecture, operations, and business teams to define solutions and ensure successful implementation of product enhancements and capabilities.
- Facilitate prioritization decisions across competing demands while balancing customer value, operational efficiency, technical dependencies, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage cross-functional dependencies, identify delivery risks, remove impediments, and drive timely resolution of issues impacting product delivery.
- Validate business requirements and acceptance criteria to ensure delivered solutions meet customer expectations, quality standards, and business objectives.
- Monitor product area performance, user adoption, operational outcomes, and stakeholder feedback to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Support process automation, AI-enabled capabilities, and modernization initiatives that enhance customer experience and operational effectiveness.
- Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Control partners to ensure solutions adhere to enterprise policies, governance frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
- Communicate product priorities, delivery progress, risks, and outcomes to stakeholders and leadership teams.
- Drive a culture of collaboration, accountability, continuous learning, and Agile best practices across the product team.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior Product Owners and team members while promoting effective product management practices.
- 5+ years of Product Management, product development, strategic planning, process management, change delivery experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 5+ years of Product Management, Product Ownership, Business Analysis, or equivalent experience.
- Experience leading Agile product delivery teams and managing backlogs within complex enterprise environments.
- Strong experience defining user stories, acceptance criteria, business requirements, and release planning activities.
- Experience working closely with engineers, architects, designers, and business stakeholders to deliver technology solutions.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities, dependencies, risks, and delivery commitments across multiple workstreams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Experience using Agile delivery tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to influence outcomes and drive execution in matrixed organizational environments.
- Experience in Commercial Banking, Supply Chain Finance, Lending, Receivables Finance, Treasury Management, Payments, or related banking domains.
- Experience supporting platform modernization, workflow automation, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Knowledge of banking regulatory, risk, and control frameworks.
- Experience with SQL, Power BI, data analytics, and reporting tools.
- Familiarity with AI, Generative AI, intelligent automation, and data-driven product decision making.
- Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and modern product operating models.
