What You Will Be Doing
ChargePoint is seeking a Senior Product Manager for payments to define seamless, reliable, cost-effective, and compliant payment and tax services for EV drivers, fleets and charging station owners. ChargePoint has a flexible platform that enables customers from many different segments to collect payments for electric vehicle charging through a variety of payment methods. You will navigate the complex financial relationships between charging station owners, property owners, leasing companies, fleet managers, drivers, third party charging networks & e-mobility service providers, and all stakeholders to build solutions that help the ChargePoint and the EV charging industry scale as the world electrifies every aspect of transportation.
In this role, you will,
- Interact with key customers from a variety of segments, including charging station operators, automakers, fuel card providers, and fleet management companies while discovering, defining, and executing new payments features.
- Define and prioritize detailed requirements based on well-researched understanding of market needs and trends
- Manage technical relationships with payment service providers, such as credit card
processors, fuel card providers, banking services, acquirers, card brand companies, online payment providers, tax services and other third parties - Work closely with Engineering and Business Applications teams to achieve alignment on feature implementation
- Ensure that all payment solutions are secure, compliant, respect the privacy of all customer data, and are supportable for ChargePoint’s business including finance, customer support, operations, legal, sales, and engineering
- Be the ChargePoint subject matter expert for all payment and tax services internally and externally
What You Will Bring to ChargePoint
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent technical degree is desired; MBA, Economics, or equivalent business experience is a plus
- 8+ years of experience in payments, payment processing and product management, knowledge of tax principles in NA and EU.
- Track record of successfully delivering complex projects in dynamic, cross-functional environments
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Bias towards action, even in areas of uncertainty, with cross-functional teams across multiple locations and time zones, to get things done
- Comfortable using data to inform priorities and evaluate impact of initiatives
- Excellent written and verbal communication and soft-influence skills
- Passionate about ChargePoint and our mission
- Language: English
Location
Campbell, CA with high involvement with colleagues in the EU time-zone.
ChargePoint is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The targeted US salary range for roles at this operating level is $105,000 to $250,000. This range represents base salary and does not reflect equity, benefits or variable pay where applicable. Actual base salaries are based on several factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, experience, certifications and specific work location.
