Team mission

Modern travelers may only sometimes actively book their next adventure, but they are always looking for inspiration and passively dreaming about their next trip. The Travel Affinity Team is being formed to ensure that GetYourGuide engages these travelers with the inspiration they crave, when and where they crave it, and helping them discover incredible destinations. 

We’re looking for a Lead Product Manager who can see GetYourGuide beyond its current state, champion our users’ voices, and execute a vision for how we can better serve travelers worldwide. 

To establish this new product area, which we believe will be vital to our continued business growth, the LPM will not only complete the mission team—comprising a UX Designer, Engineering Manager, Content Designer, and SWEs—but will also collaborate closely with our Lifecycle Marketing, Content Marketing, and Brand teams. Together, they will create a seamless and personalized customer journey for every visitor, guiding them from their first exposure to our product to planning their next travel destination. 

You will:

  • Ownership: You are skilled at laying out your team’s strategy, setting goals, and then following through, owning the outcomes of your team’s work.
  • Ambiguity: Ambiguity around you does not stop you from being clear and achieving your goals.
  • Communication: You demonstrate a clear and structured approach to communicating. You can connect your team’s strategy to the company’s mission and break down your team’s strategy into clear next steps.
  • Prioritization: You use your data skills and customer empathy to weigh competing initiatives, make clear decisions on priority, focus your team’s execution, and continually re-evaluate your roadmap and strategy based on what you learn.
  • Collaboration: You are skilled at building trust with many stakeholders and empowering them by giving clear expectations and aligning them with your team’s roadmap.
  • Experimentation: You use experimentation to evaluate your team's investment, leveraging your data skills to evaluate results and determine the next steps.
  • Leadership: You can represent your Customers’ interests at the highest levels of the organization and act openly and transparently with your team, peers, and executive leadership.

Who you are

  • 6+ years of professional experience in B2C product management and 2+ as a Lead.
  • Experience working in a marketplace or the travel industry is a plus but not required.
  • Demonstrated ownership over a product in a previous role, including responsibilities for strategy, KPI setup, goal-setting, and roadmap.
  • Strong data analytics skills with the ability to derive insights from large data sets.
  • Demonstrated passion for solving customer problems through iterative improvements and major features. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
