Role Overview:
You will join our rapidly growing C4C engineering Team, serving as the Optical Engineering expert focused on Keyboards and Mice. In this role, you will define optical specifications, select LED components, design light pipes, drive joint-development projects with external ODM/JDM partners, lead optical EVT testing, and ensure technical excellence from concept through mass production.
- Contribute to the development of new products, platforms and technologies, bring innovations and new ideas in terms of technology.
- Scout and evaluate new technologies, concepts, systems or components based on performance, quality, reliability, risk, cost, and manufacturability.
- Design and qualify optical and sensing solutions from concept to manufacturing for C&P products meeting cost, schedule and user experience, including:
- Cosmetic LED lighting simulation & measurement /validation
- LED Color calibration system
- Display measurement /validation
- 2D tracking sensor solution evaluation, measurement and validation
- Failure analysis of tracking system issue including optical (ME stack), electronics and firmware
- Develop tools and setups to measure or characterize optical and sensing systems.
- Work with ODM/JDM for the products design and development
- Collaborate with multi-competence engineering functions in a global environment
- Apply system engineering skills and partner with a cross functional team, especially ME (Mechanical Engineering), EE(Electrical Engineering) and ESW(Embedded Software).
- Collaborate with factories to ensure smooth and efficient mass production.

- Experience in engineering methodologies (SPC, FMEA, Statistical Tolerance Analysis, DOE, GR&R and 8D)
- Efficiently create report/synthesis on complex cross-functional topics
- Fast learning, self-motivated with good priorities and time management skills
- Autonomous, reliable, team and system oriented
- Curious and explore new technology
- Excellent communication skills with high fluency in both written and spoken English
- Solid exposure in multicultural working environment;
- Availability to travel

- Familiar with C/C++/C#/Matlab/Python
- Experience in development of sensing system (ex. optical navigation sensor, image sensor, PPG sensor, IMU....etc)
- Experience in Interface like USB/SPI/I2C/UART
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- EE Experience: 5+ years of hands-on optical development experience in consumer electronics, with a focus on Imaging Technology or Display Technology.
