Job Summary:
The Senior Operations Planner is an experienced professional who applies comprehensive knowledge to own and manage the supply plan for a complex product line or factory area. This role is a key driver of the master production schedule, leading the analysis of capacity and materials to create an optimized plan. Operating with a high degree of autonomy, the Senior Planner is a key interface between the master schedule and factory execution.

What You Will Do

  • Develop, implement, and manage the master production schedule (MPS) to meet customer delivery requirements and optimize inventory levels.
  • Lead the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process for your area, collaborating with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Finance to translate business plans into feasible production schedules.
  • Analyze demand forecasts, historical data, and capacity constraints to create realistic and achievable production plans.
  • Monitor production performance against the master schedule, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Work closely with production, procurement, and engineering teams to resolve material shortages, capacity bottlenecks, and other scheduling conflicts.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in master scheduling processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) related to scheduling adherence, on-time delivery, and inventory turns.
  • Lead cross-functional projects aimed at improving overall supply chain responsiveness and operational efficiency.
  • Utilize advanced planning systems (e.g., ERP, APS) to optimize scheduling decisions and data integrity.

What You Will Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in master scheduling, production planning, or supply chain planning, with some experience in a lead or senior capacity, preferably within a manufacturing or semiconductor environment.
  • Proven expertise in developing and managing master production schedules and participating in S&OP processes.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced planning systems (APS).
  • Excellent understanding of production processes, capacity planning, and inventory management principles.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, and complex global environment.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., APICS CSCP, CPIM) are highly desirable.
