Job Purpose:
The Lead Marketing Excellence will be responsible for driving best-in-class marketing practices, ensuring strategic alignment across marketing teams, and enhancing marketing effectiveness. This role focuses on developing marketing capabilities in areas such as digital marketing, brand strategy, market research, optimizing processes, and fostering a data-driven and customer-centric marketing culture to achieve business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy & Planning
Lead the development and execution of marketing excellence strategies aligned with business goals. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate marketing strategies into overall business plans. Benchmark and implement industry best practices to improve marketing performance.
Learning & Capability
Identify learning needs using qualitative and quantitative data at individual, team and Business unit level Design and develop blended learning solutions to enhance marketing capabilities. Develop competency frameworks and learning roadmaps for marketing roles. Customize training programs to address specific marketing disciplines (e.g., digital marketing, content marketing, branding, market analysis). Incorporate the latest marketing trends, tools, and technologies into training content. Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and knowledge-sharing initiatives to upskill marketing teams Conduct onboarding training for new marketing employees to ensure alignment with brand strategies and processes. Promote a culture of continuous learning and innovation through mentoring, coaching, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Drive Performance & Impact
Define KPIs and measurement frameworks to track marketing effectiveness. Analyse marketing performance data to identify insights and opportunities for improvement. Drive data-driven decision-making through regular reporting and performance reviews. Measure the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics. Continuously update and improve training materials based on participant feedback and industry changes. Report training outcomes and progress to management.

Accountability:
Act as a strategic partner to marketing and commercial teams, providing guidance and support. Collaborate with external agencies and vendors to ensure alignment with brand and marketing strategies. Foster alignment between global, regional, and local marketing teams. Stay updated on marketing trends, tools, and technologies. Drive the adoption of innovative marketing strategies and digital solutions. Lead change management initiatives to embed marketing excellence principles. Implementation and adherence to all GSK activities aligned to GSK vision, expectations, values and code of conduct
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Experience:
- 5–8 years of experience in marketing, marketing operations, or marketing excellence roles.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing marketing strategies and processes.
- Experience in managing cross-functional teams and projects.
Skills:
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Sound knowledge of marketing concepts, strategies, and digital marketing trends.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in marketing technology tools (CRM, marketing automation, data analytics)
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Adaptability and ability to lead change in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in digital marketing transformation.
- Certification in marketing frameworks or methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Agile Marketing, Lean).
- Global or regional marketing experience in [industry/sector, e.g., FMCG, healthcare, technology].
