About the Team: 

The Machine Shop team delivers high-precision, high-quality machined components that are critical to Terran R’s success. Here, you’ll combine technical skill with creativity, collaborating closely with engineering and design teams to drive better part designs and manufacturing solutions. You’ll work with best-in-class, premium machinery and get to bring our expanded, state-of-the-art machine shop to life to support the scale and pace of the Terran R program. This role offers the rare chance to see your craftsmanship directly integrated into flight hardware, making an immediate impact. With clear training pathways, you’ll have opportunities to advance from operating machines to programming them, growing your career alongside the program.

About the Role:

  • Technically guide a small group of manufacturing engineers through process development for turbo components products
  • Review and score, productions readiness metrics for teams’ parts to inform business progress
  • Foster a collaborative and high-preforming team
  • Create Process Plans, Standard Operating Procedures, Inspection Plans, Work Holding Designs, and other supporting documents to define the process to manufacture parts
  • Advise on Design for Manufacturability methodologies to upstream partners.
  • Articulate manufacturing, fixturing, and inspection method for a design concepts, GD&T requirements, and datum structures to inform design choices

About You:

  • B.S. in Engineering or comparable STEM field
  • Knowledge of machining and GD&T
  • 3+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in machining environment
  • Minimum of 6+ years’ experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, or Supply Chain

Nice to haves but not required:  

  • Previous leadership experience formally or informally
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, lean principles, and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Understanding of business systems, ERP, MES, PLM, CAD, CAM, etc. and how they support a production system

Hiring Range:
$138,000$176,000 USD
