ABOUT THE POSITION

Responsibilities
  • Understand client’s needs and prepare clear briefing materials for in house level artists.
  • Manage communication with clients about artistic and technical matters.
  • Assist AD to provide artistic supervision throughout production process.
  • Anticipate and solve technical challenges within given constraints and visual requirements.
  • Identify and set up best practices of levels creation workflow. 
  • Work with R&D on new industry technology and trends to improve the project's visual quality and efficiency.
  • Prioritize, plan and assign tasks to his team members. 
  • Manage personal development, performance and morale of in house level artists.
  • Manage team performance evaluations.
Qualifications
  • At least 3 years of 3D art content creation experience.
  • At least 5 years of professional level creation experience. 
  • Participated in at least one successfully shipped AA or AAA title FPS\TPS game title.
  • Expert knowledge of Unreal Engine 5. In-depth knowledge of additional Game Engines is a plus, such as Unity Engine \ Source Engine \ Cry Engine .etc.
  • Proficient in using typical DCC tools, such as Maya/Blender/Substance Painter & Designer/ Houdini/Photoshop/Krita.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office softwares.
  • Experience setting up PCG level workflow with Houdini is preferred.
  • Experience leading a team of 10 level artists.
  • Experience creating and optimizing levels creation pipelines.
  • Adaptability to various aesthetic and art styles ranging from AAA photorealism to stylized cartoon.
  • Able to balance quality and technical constraints.
  • Excellent communication skills. English speaking ability is preferred.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
