Lead JavaScript Engineer

Ciklum is looking for a Lead JavaScript Engineer to join our team full-time in India.

About the role:

As a Lead JavaScript Engineer, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow to contribute to the development of a production-ready platform. The technical vision focuses on building two core pillars:

• A scalable Marketplace
• A robust and consistent Workflow Engine

Responsibilities:

• Develop high-quality, scalable UI components based on provided design prototypes
• Lead frontend development using React.js and Next.js
• Collaborate closely with backend developers to integrate APIs and build end-to-end solutions
• Ensure performance, responsiveness, and cross-browser compatibility
• Take ownership of frontend architecture and technical decisions
• Participate in code reviews and maintain coding best practices

Requirements:

• 10+ years of relevant experience in frontend/UI development
• Strong expertise in JavaScript (ES6+), React.js, and Next.js
• Proven experience in UI development and building responsive web applications
• Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and modern frontend frameworks
• Experience working with REST APIs and backend integration
• Ability to lead development efforts and work in a collaborative environment
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Desirable:

• Experience with state management libraries (Redux, Zustand, etc.)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern development tools
• Understanding of performance optimization and SEO best practices in Next.js
