About the Role
Lead IT Solution Designer
Location: Toronto (Onsite, 4 days/week) | Practice Area: Technology & Engineering |

The Role
We’re looking for a Lead IT Solution Designer to join our Technology & Engineering practice and play a pivotal role in delivering enterprise-scale digital transformation for a Tier 1 financial institution. You'll work alongside client stakeholders, architects, and delivery teams to define, refine, and validate technology solutions that are aligned with business objectives and strategic goals.
What You’ll Do
Own end-to-end solution architecture design, from initial concept through delivery, for complex financial services platforms
Translate business requirements into scalable and maintainable technical solutions
Collaborate closely with architects, developers, and business SMEs to ensure solutions are well-structured, integrated, and future-proof
Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards and technology roadmaps
Provide technical leadership and governance across the full delivery lifecycle
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience designing end-to-end IT solutions across complex application landscapes
Strong background in solution design within financial institutions, ideally Tier 1 banks
Hands-on experience with modern architecture paradigms (e.g., microservices, event-driven architecture, APIs)
Ability to lead technical discussions with both business and technical stakeholders
Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments
Bonus Points For
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
Familiarity with domain-driven design and DevOps best practices
Understanding of data architecture and data integration patterns
Exposure to legacy system modernisation initiatives
Certification in solution or enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, SAFe)
