Great American’s Financial Institution Services Division specializes in providing risk management and product enhancement programs to vehicle lenders and lessors, commercial equipment lenders and mortgage lenders throughout the U.S. and Canada. Target clients include commercial banks, credit unions, finance companies, buyhere pay-here dealers and leasing and rental concerns.

Our Financial Institution Services Division is looking for a Lead Insurance Operations Specialist to join their team! The ideal candidate would be located in Cincinnati and available to work a hybrid schedule out of our downtown office. We are also open to remote candidates as well.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

  • Leads the examination and processing of new insurance policies, renewals, endorsements, and cancellations using various systems.
  • Coordinates the entry or loading of data into appropriate systems and investigates and resolves data errors, ensuring accuracy and integrity.
  • Coordinates the generation and distribution of policy documents, certificates of insurance, and other related materials.
  • Organizes, prepares, and updates reports. Determines and adjusts billing status as needed. Addresses premium/billing inquiries.
  • Identifies opportunities to streamline procedures, enhance efficiency, and reduce costs. Participates in ensuring compliance with company and regulatory guidelines.
  • May have responsibility for performance and coaching of staff and may have a participatory role in decisions regarding talent selection, development, and performance management for direct reports.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Education: Associate degree or equivalent. 
  • Field of Study: Business, Finance, Liberal Arts or related discipline. 
  • Experience: Generally, 8 or more years of related experience. Experience in the insurance industry preferred
