As a Lead IBM ODM Developer, you will:
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of business rules using IBM ODM.
- Collaborate with business analysts and product owners to translate business requirements into executable decision logic.
- Develop, test, and maintain rule artifacts (rule flows, decision tables, rule sets) using IBM Rule Designer.
- Integrate ODM rules with enterprise applications via REST/SOAP APIs.
- Manage and configure Decision Center for rule governance and collaborative rule management.
- Optimize rule performance and ensure scalability of the rule execution environment.
- Perform code reviews and mentor junior developers on best practices for ODM development.
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide root cause analysis for rule-related defects.
- Stay updated with IBM ODM product enhancements and recommend adoption of new features where applicable.
What You Bring to the Table:
- 7+ years of IT experience, with at least 5 years in IBM ODM development.
- Strong hands-on experience with IBM Rule Designer, Decision Center, and Rule Execution Server (RES).
- Solid understanding of Java/J2EE, XML, JSON, and web service integration.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with Decision Modeling Notation (DMN) and business event processing.
- Exposure to microservices architecture.
You should possess the ability to:
- Collaborate effectively with stakeholders across business and technology teams.
- Apply strong problem-solving skills in fast-paced environments.
- Ensure compliance with coding standards, security policies, and deployment guidelines.
- Work with rule governance frameworks and version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN).
- Integrate BPM tools and workflows with decision services.
- Manage cloud-based deployments (AWS, Azure, or IBM Cloud).
