We’re looking for a Lead Fullstack Software Engineer with a strong foundation in JVM-based languages (Java, Kotlin, Scala or Groovy) or Erlang, and exposure to modern frontend frameworks to join our growing ad-tech engineering team in Warsaw Technology HUB.

You’ll build and maintain scalable, high-performance systems that power our real-time advertising and data platforms. Our technology platform connects app publishers, advertisers, carriers, and device manufacturers to help deliver apps and content to millions of devices across the world. We make mobile app discovery more meaningful, efficient and rewarding, helping the users find what they need, when they need it.

• Take ownership of end-2-end delivery of workstreams with a shift-left mindset, by   defining requirements in collaboration with Product Owners and transforming business expectations into executable units of work and actionable delivery plans

• Represent the team, collaborate with other teams, set most efficient way to collaborate on delivering overarching functionalities (contribution models) 

• Lead internal team design, developing, testing and productionizing practices, showcasing best practices leveraging personal craftsmanship, but also facilitating discussions

• Set team technical direction by balancing components evolution between stability and  new ideas, patterns, technologies, solutions, practices and tools. Be on point to build propositions based on working PoC  

• Influence system architecture and integration patterns, factoring in requirements on high throughput and low latency

• Design and develop backend services and APIs using JVM languages (Java, Kotlin, Scala, Groovy) or Erlang

• Build modern, responsive frontends using JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js

• Act as an internal team SME in one or more collaboration areas that are supported by cross-functional teams (UX designers,Data, DevOps, QA) to deliver end-to-end features in a timely manner

• Write clean, testable, maintainable code and participate in code reviews and architecture discussions, to ensure code quality and knowledge transfer across the teams

• 8+ years of professional experience in software development

• Hands-on leadership experience in development and architecture, contributions to development process, real-life experience in cross-team collaboration in contribution model and reading and writing architectural documents, contribution rules, component and flow diagrams

• Proficiency in at least one JVM language (Java, Kotlin, Scala, Groovy) or  Erlang

• Deep understanding of integration patterns, factoring in scalability, resiliency and latency

• Proven track record for designing and implementing changes in microservices and event-driven architectures, designing extendable solutions 

• Experience in building RESTful or GraphQL APIs and communication over message brokers  or queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ) 

• Proficiency with relational and NoSQL databases (i.e., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, DynamoDB, S3 etc.)

• Solid understanding of frontend development with modern frameworks (React, Angular, Vue)

• Proficiency with Git, CI/CD and automated testing. Following test pyramid, knowledge of testing frameworks (i.e. JUnit, Mockito, Jest, Cypress, Spock, Gatling) 

• Hands-on experience in designing and deploying scalable components to cloud infrastructure (GCP, AWS, or Azure), and containerization (Kubernetes, Docker)

• Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset

One or more of the following will be an advantage

• Experience with TypeScript and advanced front end patterns

• Experience with Android development (Kotlin or Java)

• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation)

• Interest in real-time bidding (RTB), campaign management systems, or data streaming

• Passion for system performance, scalability and data-driven optimization

  At Digital Turbine, we are committed to pay transparency and equitable compensation. The salary range for this position is 273,750 - 401,500 PLN gross/year.
