Lead Financial Analyst LFO

This role will be primarily focused on supporting the Insurance and Annuities LFO group by providing monthly management reporting support with the primary responsibility for performing spread calculations and analysis for the annuity business, facilitate the completion of the reporting package, weekly/monthly sales reporting, preparing the daily/weekly cash guidance report and provide periodic forecasting support for annuity spread income and support the adhoc business requests.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze current and past trends impacting business performance for Annuity business including effective commentary around business results.
• Act as an SME for Spread calculations. Perform independent analysis using multiple data sources to assist in decision making.
• Proactively identifies trends to facilitate decision making and deliver results.
• Responsible for quality of work supporting decisions.
• Lead processes to ensure all tasks completed in timely and efficient manner, identifies issues and escalates when necessary.
• Partner with business and strategy to create value added analysis which drives informed decision making and future profitability and growth
• Responsible for developing forecasts that are insightful and helpful to senior business and finance management for Annuity spread business

Required Qualifications

• 5-7 years of relevant experience
• Exceptional analytical abilities, incl proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel; PowerPoint; Word). Ability to complete medium to advanced Fin analysis 
• Experience applying accounting and financial concepts to interpret and solve business problems
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, effective usage of prioritization and work collaboratively with many partners
• Strong interpersonal and influencing skills; ability to lead up to finance and business leaders as well as across the organization
• Strong written/verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate complex issues in a clear, concise, and understandable manner
• Finance degree and work experience in finance or related reporting

Preferred Qualifications

• Expertise with Hyperion, Essbase
• Experience with intercontinental organizational structures (i.e. leaders/business partners in multiple geographies)
• Strong need to lead up and across to business partners and finance personnel
• Experience in presenting to senior management
