As a Lead Finance Business Partner Europe, you will be responsible for partnering with the Biosimilars, Generics and OTC business units, driving financial performance and supporting key business decisions. You will ensure alignment between financial objectives and business priorities, providing insights and recommendations to help achieve business goals.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Drive the execution of business and financial strategies for a defined scope (BU / Franchise / Region), ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Act as a strategic advisor to senior stakeholders, influencing key business decisions through data-driven insights and financial expertise.
- Lead performance management and steering, including identifying risks and opportunities and driving corrective actions.
- Provide advanced financial analysis and insights across key areas such as sales trends, cost structures, profitability, investments, and resource allocation.
- Support leadership teams with strategic decision-making, including scenario analysis, long-term planning, and value optimization.
- Lead and challenge budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processes from a business perspective, ensuring alignment to market realities and business priorities.
- Drive business case development, evaluation, and tracking (e.g., investments, capital allocation, NPV, lifecycle profitability).
- Conduct value-added analyses (e.g., profitability, benchmarking, cost optimization) to identify improvement areas and support long-term target setting.
- Foster strong cross-functional collaboration (Commercial, Supply Chain, FRA, etc.) to ensure integrated decision-making. Lead and develop a team of finance professionals, ensuring capability building, engagement, and high performance.
What you’ll bring to the role:
- 7–10 years of experience in finance, including business partnering, commercial finance, or strategic finance roles.
- Proven experience supporting senior leadership decision-making and strategy execution.
- Experience in people management and team leadership.
- Strong business partnering skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and provide strategic financial advice.
- Experience in scenario planning, investment evaluation, and supporting resource allocation decisions.
- Strong financial acumen, judgement, and understanding of governance processes.
- Advanced analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into business insights and recommendations.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including coaching, change management, and working effectively in complex environments.
- Fluent in English. Additional languages are a plus.

Sandoz compensation is determined by job level, qualifications, niche skills, experience, and location within company salary ranges. Fully proficient and highly effective employees can expect a starting salary around market median, with those new to the level or with less functional depth at the lower end of the range and those with sustained superior or niche skills towards the higher end of the range. Internal equity and external market data inform our range placement. Annual salary reviews consider performance outcomes, market alignment, and business needs.
